Our educational model combines the renowned Montessori curriculum with a nurturing environment to foster holistic development in young learners. Here's how it works:
We follow the principles laid out by Maria Montessori, providing a hands-on, child-centered approach to learning. Through carefully curated materials and activities, children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace, fostering independence and a love for learning.
Recognizing that every child is unique, our program tailors learning experiences to meet the needs and interests of each student. Teachers serve as guides, observing and responding to the individual strengths and challenges of every child, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Our mixed-age classrooms promote collaboration, peer learning, and social development. Younger students learn from older peers, while older students reinforce their knowledge by helping younger classmates, fostering a sense of community and empathy.
In addition to academic learning, we prioritize the development of practical life skills, such as self-care, social interaction, and problem-solving. Activities like gardening, cooking, and caring for the environment promote independence, responsibility, and respect for others.
ACA Educational Model: The Academy
ACA The Academy will use a mixed method in our educational model. STEAM will lead in the model which comprises teaching subject areas such as mathematics and science by incorporating technology and engineering into a standard-based curriculum. ACA will take STEAM one step further and add arts to the curriculum, creating steam. The STEAM education model will transform the classroom by encouraging a curriculum driven by problem-solving, discovery, and exploratory learning, and requires students to actively engage to find the solution. According to Kaleci and Korkmaz (2018), STEAM education is essential because it contributes to sustainable growth by focusing on problem solving, research, effective communication, and design skills. Using a holistic approach, STEAM education aims for students to look at problems from their perspective in connection with other fields. The secondary portion of the educational model is project-based learning PBL.
ACA adopts a student-centered, inquiry-driven teaching model. Classrooms emphasize critical thinking, hands-on learning, and self-reflection. Inquiry-based learning and trans-disciplinary teaching are central, encouraging students to take ownership of their education. Community projects provide practical applications, enhancing motivation and active learning.
