Dr. Nicole Brown is an experienced educator, researcher, and instructional leader with 12+ years in K–12 and higher education. She holds an Ed.D. in Leadership, Innovation & Continuous Improvement, and has extensive experience teaching, developing curriculum, building school culture, and designing equity-centered educational programs. Dr.
Dr. Nicole Brown is an experienced educator, researcher, and instructional leader with 12+ years in K–12 and higher education. She holds an Ed.D. in Leadership, Innovation & Continuous Improvement, and has extensive experience teaching, developing curriculum, building school culture, and designing equity-centered educational programs. Dr. Brown has led large-scale community initiatives, secured partnerships across metro Atlanta, and has a strong background in early childhood education, culturally responsive pedagogy, writing, and organizational leadership.
Her vision for Atlanta Cultural Academy reflects her lifelong commitment to creating learning environments where students thrive academically, culturally, and socially.

With over 25 years of dedicated service in youth support, school safety, mental health, and community engagement, Captain Sherrie Gilbert-Ramsey brings exceptional expertise and leadership to Atlanta Cultural Academy. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
At ACA, Captain Gilbert-
With over 25 years of dedicated service in youth support, school safety, mental health, and community engagement, Captain Sherrie Gilbert-Ramsey brings exceptional expertise and leadership to Atlanta Cultural Academy. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
At ACA, Captain Gilbert-Ramsey will spearhead the design and implementation of wraparound supports, culturally responsive counseling services, student leadership pathways, restorative practices, safety protocols, and family engagement strategies. Her combined expertise in mental health, school culture, youth development, and law-enforcement-community collaboration ensures that ACA will provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for middle and high school students.
Her leadership philosophy: “When we affirm identity, provide community, and build leadership habits, we create schools where students don’t just survive — they thrive.”

ACA’s governing board is composed of seasoned professionals with deep expertise across education, community leadership, mental health, school turnaround, real estate, finance, and nonprofit management.
Their collective experience provides strong oversight in academics, operations, compliance, and fiscal stewardship.
