Atlanta Cultural Academy

Atlanta Cultural Academy will use a mixed method in our educational model. STEAM will lead in the model which comprises teaching subject areas such as mathematics and science by incorporating technology and engineering into a standard-based curriculum. ACA will take STEAM one step further and add arts to the curriculum, creating steam. The STEAM education model will transform the classroom by encouraging a curriculum driven by problem-solving, discovery, and exploratory learning, and requires students to actively engage to find the solution. 

ACA will add to the lives of our families by creating one big family as a strong and structured support. We live in a time when our educators' role is being looked at differently. If parental involvement is identified as the sound foundation of a child’s educational process, we would likely have fewer parents feeling ill-prepared with assisting their children with projects, homework, and assignments. This causes school and home to feel like separate teams instead of one village or team. At ACA, our parents must always feel supported and prepared to assist their children at home with their school assignments.

ACA will incorporate a healthy form of communication and support for our families. Whether it is for virtual learning or helping with their homework in the evening. ACA’s approach to getting and maintaining consistent parental involvement is helping to prepare our parents through training and individualized development. We will emphasize the importance of their participation in their child’s success. We will make sure that our parents feel supported and educated on how to provide support to their children, the school, and their community. Making sure that the parents are clear about their role in their child’s team will help to make each year a success. We plan to maintain our parent’s excitement for education to keep them consistently active and secure in knowing that they are not alone and that each team member is playing their role effectively.
